WEEKLY GROUPS

Bible study and prayer are a key part of knowing God and being equipped to perform good works God has prepared in advance for us to do. We meet together in small groups in homes to read and talk about God’s Word.

Discipleship and Membership Classes

For a deeper faith journey, local residents gather together for specific discipleship classes. These typically meet for a set number of weeks, using curriculum developed by others.

A commitment to attend is required as each week builds on the previous week’s lesson. One such curriculum is Experiencing God by Henry Blackaby. The discipleship courses typically have daily assignments and we come together once a week to discuss what we’ve learned. This is a great tool for those who want to “go deeper” in their faith, to learn how to listen to God, hear His voice and know His will for their lives. Visitors are not excluded from attending, but they need to recognize the nature of the classes means they may not understand the full context if present for only one class.

Groups are on-going. Check @FreshwaterChurchVI (Facebook or Instagram) for announcements of new classes or call Pastor Wally for more information.
